A native of Venezuela, Johanna Boccardo, was born a creative individual with an eager soul. With a strong support team at home, Boccardo sought after her life-long dream of becoming an illustrator and realized her talents would soon be actualized and noticed by everyone around her.
As a pursuit to become more knowledgeable in the art world, Johanna Boccardo enrolled at the Instituto de Diseno de Caracas to study Illustration. In 2002, three years after embarking in her first design house, INK Design, she chose to advance her education and relocated to Sarasota, Florida, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts at Ringling School of Art & Design.
From there Boccardo moved to Spain, where she instilled her ability to illustrate books for both national and international publishers.
In 2004, Johanna Boccardo relocated to Miami, Florida where she enabled the prospect of designer leather accessories for an iconic local brand. As she became inadvertently involved in handbag creation, her coveted position as head designer strengthen her passion for her own collection. As ideas of lines, textures and colors cultivated, Boccardo launched Beautiful People in May 2008.
Boccardo's eclectic approach to fashion is found evident throughout her handbag collection, incorporating her personal flare into versatile styles. Following her personal philosophy that "one should make a business out of one's passions" resonates in her captivating rendition of the new functional handbag for today's woman. Beautiful People reflect Boccardo's adoration for both the arts and fashion, utilizing her extensive background in design and keen sense of color, texture and structure. Stepping away from over-the-top, everyday designs Boccardo has invested thought into the collection by developing a line of sophisticated, timeless handbags with style significant to every woman.
